Tell us about you (What drives you)
It might sound odd but I live to prove people wrong. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m surrounded by great people but there are always some that don’t quite believe in you. No matter if it’s a certain life goal, career goal or personal goal, some people will always question you and knowing that has always had a positive impact on me.
Tell us a fun fact about you
Whenever my friends introduce me to someone new, one of the first things they talk about is the fact that once I learned the lyrics to a song, it will stay with me forever. In fact, I can recite every song from all three High School Musical films without making a single mistake. Trust me, never challenge me in a HSM sing-off cause you will lose.
What is your biggest fear?
Not living life to the fullest. For some reason I always picture my older self sitting in front of the fire with my kids and grandkids and the one thing I want to avoid is looking back and thinking ‘I wonder what would have happened if I took that opportunity back in …’
Why did you join Tailify?
To convince brands that it’s not all about impressions and engagement rate. One of the main reasons I wanted to work in influencer marketing was because of the unique bond influencers have with their audiences and I want to help brands understand how beneficial influencer marketing could be for them if they did it properly.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Without a doubt, moving to London all by myself. It was one of the scariest things I ever did, but it was also the best decision I ever made. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and I will probably (or most definitely) never go back.
If you could give your younger self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Trust the process - one day it will all fall into place. When I was younger I was obsessed with planning every single aspect of my life. I had this big, detailed plan that outlined all the things I’d needed to do in order to get to where I wanted to be but as it turns out, things don’t always go to plan and that’s a-okay!
What is the single most valuable thing you’ve ever learned?
Easy - treat people the way you want to be treated.
If you could share a meal with any 4 individuals, alive or dead, who would they be?
My great grandad - I was fortunate enough to be able to spend 20 years of my life with him and I still miss him a lot so I would love to be able to catch up with him.
Shonda Rhimes - If there is anything you need to know about me it’s that I’m obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy so sharing a meal with the creator of this amazing show would be the best thing ever!
And my parents - with the current situation I haven’t seen a lot of them this year so I’d love for them to come and visit.
My secret passion is…/ guilty pleasure
Diet Coke. I wouldn’t be able to live without it!
In the next 5 years, the biggest thing I want to achieve is…
There are loads of things I want to achieve in the next 5 years, but as I said, things don’t always go to plan so I’m excited to see what the future holds.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I still count in German. After living in London for almost 3 years - I think, dream and (obviously) speak English all the time but when it comes to counting in my head I always go eins, zwei, drei instead of one, two, three.
How do you think your colleagues will describe you in one year?
Hard-working, passionate, funny and a little bit sassy at times.
Who is your favourite influencer and how have they influenced you?
That’s a hard one to answer, especially since there are so many people out there. If I had to pick one (...or two) I would probably say Whitney Simmons and Stephanie Buttermore. Over the past two years I’ve really gotten into fitness so I have experienced things such as gym guilt, lack of motivation and frustration and I can confidently say that following those two has completely changed my mindset.
