Hello Seb, what are you thinking right now?

I am thinking about what I am going to do this weekend. I have recently watched YouTube videos of people who managed to find fresh truffles in the forest by following flies! I know it sounds crazy but flies are attracted by the smell and if you find flies next to an oak tree, there might be some truffles there!

How did you end up at Tailify and why Influencer marketing?

3 years ago, after I graduated, I was looking for an internship abroad to gain experience. I found an internship position from Tailify, I have applied for it without realizing that the advert was 6 months old.

After spamming their inbox, I think they realised how motivated I was. I had a few calls with Segerby, our CEO, which went really well and 3 months later I arrived at Tailify as a Client Success Intern and I haven’t left since!

Influencer marketing was an obvious choice for me. Before Tailify I ran a business selling bracelets for a few years and we worked with local influencers in the south of France. At the time in 2015 the early ages of influencer marketing and paid collaborations didn’t even exist. We were just trading bracelets for a few Instagram posts and stories.

What do you believe in today that you didn’t believe in before you started at Tailify?

I didn’t believe that investing hundreds of thousands of pounds in influencer marketing could generate a positive return on investments. When I started my journey at Tailify, I thought that the main purpose of collaborating with influencers was to increase brand awareness, and that’s it. Over the years, we have proven this marketing channel does not limit itself to this. If done right it can even become your main source of income.

What is your superpower?

I would say my infectious laugh, people either love it or hate it :)

What does the word “Influence” mean to you?

To me, in the sphere of influencer marketing, influence is the power of producing an effect on actions, behaviours and opinions.

What’s the difference between influence and influencer?

Very easy, if you create online content and you build a community around it, you are technically an influencer. But you can be an influencer with no influence and the data that we collect at Tailify demonstrates this. Producing an effect on someone’s action, behaviour, opinion, involves a lot of complex psychometric parameters that our various teams try to uncover in order to maximize the impact on our client’s businesses.

Describe the ‘Typical Talifyer’

The typical Tailifyer is someone curious, eager to learn, open-minded and who is not scared of taking initiative. But most importantly, an espresso martini lover and a beer pong enthusiast, otherwise we can’t hire you, sorry! ;)

What is your motto in life?

And you can’t disagree with this quote, the greatest of all time is always right.

Where do you go/what do you do when you need to find new inspiration? I love to watch videos on YouTube to learn about new things and listen to inspirational speakers. I also love to go for long walks by the sea; it allows me to zone out for a while to think about life in general and my objectives.

Last question, If you were an influencer - what type of influencer would you be and why?

Definitely a travel influencer to have free flights and hotels all the time haha. Imagine! Being paid while discovering the most beautiful places in the world, it must be the best job ever!
