Meet Tailify – Hanna Pickard

Hanna Pickard joins Tailify as the new Sales Manager and will be working from our HQ in London.

Tell us a bit about yourself? Introduce yourself? My name is Hanna, and I recently joined the London Tailify team as Sales Manager. I started in the Media Industry about eight years ago, when I was a fresh-faced, innocent graduate, who assumed that all my job would involve was copious amounts of eating and drinking on a weekly basis (I wasn’t wrong – the “Media Stone” really is a thing!) I originally started out agency-side, working as a press planner/buyer at Mindshare, and decided to make the transition over to the ‘dark-side’ of sales about 3 years ago. I am so excited to be joining the Tailify team – I can’t wait to get my teeth stuck into influencer marketing and the world of social; an area that I am highly passionate about.

Why did you join Tailify? I joined Tailify as I really do believe that amongst all the other Influencer Marketing platforms out there, we have a truly unique product and can offer something different to agencies and brands. At Tailify, our whole tech platform is founded on data, meaning that there is no guesswork involved in any of the campaigns that we run. We specialize in providing security, professionalism, and trust in this new (and sometimes scary) world of content marketing.

What does a regular work day for you involve? I’ll get in at around 8.45am, and before I do anything, a strong cup of coffee to wake me up is a must. A lot of my day is spent out of the office in agencies, having meetings with potential new clients, as well as catching up with current ones. That’s possibly my favourite part of the job – getting out and about, and meeting lots of different people (unless it’s raining, when all I want to do is hibernate back in the office!). If I’m not in meetings, I’ll be back at my desk working on proposals, or sitting down with the Client Services team developing campaign strategies. For me, every day is different, which definitely helps to keep it interesting.

Who is your favourite person to follow on Instagram? Please don’t judge me, but Ryan Reynolds is most definitely the best person I follow on Instagram right now. He is genuinely hilarious (not to mention pretty wonderful looking). For those of you who haven’t seen any of his posts, I urge you to go and take a look now… and then come back and try and tell me that I’m wrong!

Why do you think influencer marketing is so important for brands? When done right, influencer marketing can be such a powerful tool, delivering incredible results. With half of Millennials now having ad blockers downloaded on their phones, it’s becoming increasingly harder for brands to reach and engage with them. So what better way to speak to them than via a platform where they are immersing themselves for hours on end every day? And who better to use than influencers, who they look up to and aspire to be? 92% of consumers trust a recommendation from individuals they follow, even if they don’t know them – For me, this powerful stat alone sums up how important it is for a brand to consider influencer marketing as part of its campaign strategy.

What do you love most about working at Tailify? Where to start?! First of all, I love the new offices! We’ve recently moved to the White Collar Factory in Old Street, and the building is pretty incredible, with a roof top garden and its own running track. If you can’t find me at my desk, I may well be hot-desking on the rooftop with a coffee in hand (or a glass of Prosecco, if it’s a Friday!) Secondly, I love the people. We’re a fairly small team, but everyone is so hard-working and passionate about the company, and that makes it such a great and inspiring environment to be in. Plus, we’re a sociable bunch who love a team night out!
